Charity of the Month 2:
CRISIS

CRISIS OPEN CHRISTMAS

Homeless at Christmas - cold, wet and hungry with nowhere to go. A place at CRISIS at Christmas can be the start of a whole new life, and costs just £28.18 - a small price to pay for something that could help someone out of homelessness for good. Could you donate the cost of a place for one person - or even more people if you can manage it?

Fairford Christmas Day Lunch

For the sixth year running there will be a Christmas Lunch taking place on Christmas Day in the Fairford Community Centre.  This is for individuals and couples who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day and is open to people in Fairford and surrounding villages - and Lechlade.  It will continue to take the same format as before so we are looking for volunteers to assist in helping with the preparation and cooking of the meal, drivers to collect and return people home and others to act as hosts/hostesses during the day.

Carol and Richard Thompson have kindly come forward to coordinate the day this year so please contact them or the other names below for further information and offers of help.

Please also check on your neighbours and friends and put them in touch if they show any interest in helping or being a guest.  A donation of £5 will be requested from each guest and other offers of financial help will be most welcome.

Each year we have been amazed by the support of the local community and call on you once more to support us in this worthwhile cause.
