Children’s Society

Charity of the Month 2:
CRISIS

For anyone homeless or in hostel accommodation Christmas can be an exceptionally lonely and depressing time. For the last 45 years CRISIS has helped to alleviate that loneliness by the provision of Christmas Centres across London during the Christmas period that not only offer vital companionship but also meals and warmth together with a wide range of essential services. All this is provided by volunteers from all walks of life.

This month is a bit different. We will be having a Christingle Service and will be joined by Fairford Primary School. The service will be followed by mince pies and a drink, but no cooked meal. We shall finish about 5pm.
